Title longer than ~60 characters
Long titles get truncated in search with an ellipsis, hiding the most important words. Fix: put the key phrase first and keep the title at or under 60 characters.
Missing meta description
Without one, search engines pick a snippet from the page, which may be off-topic. Fix: write a clear 1–2 sentence description under ~155 characters.
Duplicate titles across pages
If every page shares the same title, search engines struggle to tell them apart. Fix: make each title specific to the page's topic and brand.
No Open Graph tags
Shared links then fall back to scraped text and a random image — or none. Fix: add og:title, og:description, and og:image (plus Twitter card tags) so the preview card is intentional.
Keywords stuffed unnaturally
Cramming keywords into the description reads as spam and can hurt how the snippet is shown. Fix: write for a human; let the keywords appear naturally.
How SEOMeta helps
SEOMeta keeps the title at or under 60 and the description at or under 155, and emits Open Graph and Twitter tags by default — so the common misses are covered as you generate.
An honest limit
Avoiding these mistakes helps presentation; it does not guarantee a ranking or click-through improvement.
